About the program
GCAA Function 4.1.C / IATA CBTA Function 7.2.A
This Dangerous Goods Awareness training program is designed in accordance with General Civil Aviation Authority Function 4.1.C and International Air Transport Association CBTA Function 7.2.A requirements. The course provides participants with the essential knowledge and awareness required to recognize, identify, and report dangerous goods in cargo and mail operations.
The program focuses on the identification and classification of dangerous goods, interpretation of hazard communication, and the detection of hidden or undeclared dangerous goods through package inspections and transport documentation checks. Participants will also gain an understanding of the indicators of undeclared dangerous goods, reporting procedures for dangerous goods incidents and accidents, and the fundamentals of emergency response procedures.
Upon completion, participants will be able to support regulatory compliance requirements, enhance operational safety awareness, and contribute to the safe handling and transportation of cargo by air.

Certification
A Certificate valid with GCAA will be issued upon the successful completion of the course assessment. Being an CBTA approved provider (IATA Montreal, Canada) , the successful candidates can obtain IATA Certification as well. This Certificate is valid for two years.
