Flagman / Banksman Training

Course Objectives:

The aim of the training is to provide candidates with the necessary knowledge on the hazards of working in a confined space, safe use of tools and equipment, control of hazards and emergency procedures.

At the end of the training, the candidates will be able to:

Be Knowledgeable of the Different Types of Gas that can be Found Inside a Confined Space
Evaluate the Hazards
Understand Safety Procedures and Permit System
Perform Emergency Evacuation Procedure

Course Syllabus:

Identifying health and safety risks in the field
Project site preparation
Detecting danger areas in the site
Understanding the manoeuvrability of large vehicles
Proper guidance of vehicles according to standard signals
Relevant equipment in the field

Methodology:

Classroom training with PPT Presentation. It is assessed by a multiple-choice examination, where the candidate must answer at least 10 out of 15 questions correctly. The examination will take a maximum of 30 minutes to complete.

Minimum qualification:

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be physically and medically fit regarding eyesight, hearing and reflexes.

Length of Course:

This course is designed to be offered during a minimum of 6 hours.

Course Certification:

Successful participants who passed the written and practical test will receive certificates on Banksman / Flagman training.

Validity of Certificate: One year.
