Sandblasting Safety Training

Course Objectives:

The primary goal of this course is to teach the candidates on how to avoid common hazards while working near a blasting area. Participants will learn about precautions that blasting crew should take to protect everyone at the worksite.

Course Syllabus:

• Introduction and Objectives
• Sandblasting equipment
• Abrasive Materials
• Hazards of Sand blasting
• Engineering and administrative controls
• Sandblasting protection equipment
• General safety for blasting areas
• How to reduce risks associated with blasting

Methodology:

Classroom training with PPT presentation. It is assessed by a multiple-choice examination, where the candidate must answer at least 10 out of 15 questions correctly.  The examination will take a maximum of 30 minutes to complete.

Minimum qualification:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be physically and medically fit regarding eyesight, hearing, and reflexes.

Length of Course: 

This course is designed to be offered during a minimum of 6 hours.

Course Certification:

Successful participants who passed the written and practical test will receive certificates on Sandblasting safety Training

Validity of Certificate: One year
