Electrical Safety Training

Course Objectives:

Increase awareness of potential electrical hazards. How to recognize electrical hazards. Provide ways to eliminate, remove, and prevent electrical hazards in the workplace. It is essential that proper training has been undertaken and completed to ensure that precautionary measures and safety practices are in place.

Course Syllabus:

Introduction
Hazards of Electricity
Isolating Circuits
Testing Circuits
Work on Energized Equipment
Portable Electrical Tools
Electrical PPE
Work Area Safety
Electrical Systems
Hazards of electricity
Not to work on energized circuits without permission

Methodology:

Classroom training with PPT presentation. It is assessed by a multiple-choice examination, where the candidate must answer at least 10 out of 15 questions correctly. The examination will take a maximum of 30 minutes to complete.

Minimum qualification:

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be physically and medically fit regarding eyesight, hearing, and reflexes.

Length of Course:

This course is designed to be offered during a minimum of 6 hours.

Course Certification:

Successful participants who passed the written and practical test will receive certificates on Electrical Safety Training

Validity of Certificate: One year
