Welder Safety Training

Course Objectives:

This Welding Safety training course raises awareness of the risks to health and safety presented by welding operations, including both gas and electric arc welding, and provides details of how to complete a risk assessment and follow the appropriate control measures. 
This course helps learners to understand the risks that must be avoided and provides knowledge of how to carry out their welding activities safely.

Course Syllabus:

• Introduction
• Basic Electricity and the Science of Welding
• Welding Safety
• Fire and explosion
• Lack of Oxygen in confined spaces
• Electrical Hazards
• Slips and Trips

Methodology:

Classroom training with PPT presentation. It is assessed by a multiple-choice examination, where the candidate must answer at least 10 out of 15 questions correctly.  The examination will take a maximum of 30 minutes to complete.

Minimum qualification:

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be physically and medically fit regarding eyesight, hearing, and reflexes.

Length of Course:

This course is designed to be offered during a minimum of 6 hours.

Course Certification:

Successful participants who passed the written and practical test will receive certificates on Welding safety training.

Validity of Certificate: One year.
